One thought on “What does it mean to be a Progressive?”

  1. A progressive: Believes all people have intrinsic value, without regard to utility or personal benefit. A progressive believes that the children he speaks to, are people with autonomy and the women who he listens to, are people with autonomy and the idiots who believe Trump are confused people, with someone else’s stolen autonomy. Becoming an accomplice with someone whose autonomy is being stolen is the next stage AFTER being a progressive. Progressive is directional, never a destination. Becoming comfortable in progressivism means you’ve stopped hearing critical voices and have stopped doing the work of undoing your rearing, your class advantages, or your intersectional privileges.
